An immortalization of Lupita Nyong'o, I sculpted this piece to learn about facial structure in a three dimensional environment. The opportunity to form the illusion of muscle and bone in hand instead of with charcoal on paper proved to be both extremely revealing and satisfying—launching me into further three dimensional work.
